Lovely Gîtes (holiday homes one for 4 persons and one for 6 persons) in the hamlet La Besse in the municipality of Claudon with a wonderful, spacious, unfenced garden offering unobstructed views, where your dog can also enjoy all the space (provided it is not a problem for other guests and/or pets)
The spacious grounds include a 5-meter diameter above-ground swimming pool, a trampoline, and a table tennis table for shared use.
There is also a private pond with fish (carp), a chicken coop, a beginner’s vegetable garden, and horses in the adjacent pasture. (other amenities)
From this gîte in the municipality of Claudon (Vosges, Lorraine, Grand-Est, France), you can enjoy fantastic walks. It’s a great base for both long and short hikes.
The immediate area offers beautiful hiking trails as well as cycling routes.
Through woods, past fields, and small villages. Various hiking and cycling route maps are available in the house.
The hilly surroundings ensure stunning views.
We, Denisa and Cees, live in the old farmhouse and are often available to answer questions or offer assistance where needed. We are currently working on adapting our living-kitchen area so that we can also offer you Table d’Hôtes. We love living here and would love for you to experience it too!
Tenants can accommodate their horses free of charge in our pasture, which has uneven ground but plenty of grass, water, and a shelter for sun and rain. After consultation, dogs are also welcome with us, provided it is not a problem for other guests and/or pets.
Cyclists and motorcyclists have their own covered parking space and the option to hose them down.
Of course, hikers, fishermen, hunters, and other bon vivants are more than welcome year-round to use our facilities while enjoying the beautiful green, hilly surroundings.

€120 per night, minimum reservation 3 nights, weekly rate €750. (50% payment upon reservation and 50% before/upon arrival). Prices include tax and tourist tax.

Cost
€160 per night, minimum reservation 3 nights, weekly rate €1000. (50% payment upon reservation and 50% before/upon arrival). Prices include tax and tourist tax
- TV / Internet
- Flatscreen with Google Chromecast and a good free Wi-Fi network.
- Dogs
- These are, after consultation, allowed, provided they don’t cause a problem for other guests and/or pets. You are responsible for grooming them yourself, and no traces should be left behind upon departure. Our chickens and ducks roam freely throughout the property.
- If your dog gets very wet or muddy after a nice walk in the woods, you can wash them in the raised washing area.
- Horse stalls
- If desired, you can stable your horse in one of our stalls. You are responsible for bringing them in/out, feeding them at the designated times, and providing the desired food.
- Hay and straw are available for a fee.
- Day trips
- When taking day trips, we can provide you with lunch along the way at a pre-arranged time and location. Arrangements can also be made for drop-off/pick-up from our location to the start/end point of the trip.
- Activities on site
- The following are available for general use on the site:
- A swimming pool, approximately 5m in diameter and 1m deep (opening subject to weather and drought restrictions).
- A trampoline (without security net).
- A table tennis table equipped with bats and balls.
- Cleaning / Linens
- The gîtes and other spaces used by you must be left clean upon departure.
- Bed/bath/table/kitchen linens. We will provide sufficient supplies.
- Parking
- Plenty of private parking space for cars, trailers, motorcycles, mountain bikes, etc.
Upon request, we can provide you with a table d’hôtes and, if desired, low-alcohol/soft drinks, both for a fee.
*A Table d’Hôtes is based on the principle of sharing a meal with the host, meaning that the host also eats with you and the guests eat what is provided. Therefore, we are not permitted to offer a selection menu.
